Our large, recently renovated, B&B-like house sits on a knoll overlooking Keuka Lake with an extraordinary view, especially at sunset. We have 120 feet of lake front with a large private beach with a dock, grill, table, chairs, a firepit and an excellent swimming area.
The house is nearly 2,000 square feet. We added two bathrooms as well as a laundry room. The very well-equipped kitchen is modern with a dishwasher as well as a UV water filter and garbage disposal. People love our house, as you'll see from the reviews. You can find the reviews, calendar, rates and more photos here.
We offer great offseason rates for our 4-season home. Through the winter and in early spring (through April 15), weekends are just $350 for two nights, $450 for three. Midweek nights are just $125. Plus, by reserving directly ([email protected] or 888-410-1999), you don't have to pay VRBO's new few on renters: 5-12% of the rental fee. We prefer checks but we can process credit transactions (Visa, MC, Discover). We ask for a deposit of half the rental fee, with the remainder due at least a month before your stay. The cleaning fee is $150, which includes the beds being made on your arrival and the linens being laundered after you leave. We have to collect 4% Yates County tax on both rental and cleaning fees. We accept dogs; we add $25 to the cleaning fee. The security deposit is $100, in the form of a check that we hold and shred after we hear from our cleaners. Here is the calendar.
We are near numerous wineries, most of which stay open on weekends through winter. In the spring you can often hear the sound of the creek flowing at the edge of our property. In the fall, the color around the lake is spectacular. In the winter, our house has central heat and a gas-burning fireplace in the den. The view out our new picture windows is fabulous. We are less than an hour from Bristol Mountain Ski Area.
From our covered porch you can enjoy the ever-changing light off the lake. You can walk or bike the access road in front of our house (just 2 miles long, with the main highway being above our house). You can hike up one of canyons into the hills above the lake, to some extraordinary waterfalls. You can walk or bike the trail that connects Keuka and Seneca Lakes. Or fish -- the area near our house is known as one of the best bass fishing areas in the Finger Lakes. Our house notes include details about all these options and many more.
There are three good-sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms upstairs, including a 225-square-foot master bedroom. All three bedrooms have lake views as well as air conditioners. There is a full bed in one, a queen in the second and two twin beds plus a full futon in the third. We have two roll-away beds.
The den downstairs can be closed off and has a new convertible full sofa, with an antique armoire for clothes. There is a new half bath on the first floor.
The front of the house is a covered porch with Adirondack chairs and a teak dining table. There is also a covered flagstone patio off the driveway.
