NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation is now Reproductive Freedom for All Foundation
NARAL Pro-Choice America was founded in 1969, four years before the landmark Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case. Eight years later in 1977, NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation was formed to provide a policy and educational complement to sister organization NARAL Pro-Choice America’s work fighting for everybody’s right to decide if, when, and how to start or grow a family.
In 2023, NARAL launched our next chapter as Reproductive Freedom for All to meet the extraordinary challenges of the moment. Our mission is to protect and advance freedom for everybody. With more Americans than ever supporting abortion rights, we are charting a path forward to mobilize this new and expanded base of support.
Our mission is to support and protect, as a fundamental right and value, everybody's freedom to make personal decisions about their bodies and their families, through education, training, organizing, legal action, and public policy.
Today, with more than 4 million members representing every state and congressional district in the country, we’re on the front lines of the fight to preserve and expand reproductive freedom and abortion access. With 8 in 10 Americans supporting the legal right to abortion, we believe in the power of the people to make a difference.
