Americares

Americares has deployed emergency response experts to assist in relief efforts for communities in the path of Hurricane Irma. 

Americares has been in close contact with its network of more than 80 local health centers, free clinics and response partners in Florida, as well as partners in Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and other Caribbean nations.

Americares has an Emergency Response team in Orlando, which is receiving requests for relief supplies and coordinating shipments to local health centers. The team prepositioned insulin with a local clinic partner, as well as relief supplies in our Atlanta warehouse. An Americares team, deployed to Puerto Rico ahead of the storm, is turning their attention to hard hit islands such as St. Thomas.
