National Parks Conservation Association
Voice of the American people in the struggle to protect wildlife, majestic scenery, history and culture in parks from Yellowstone to Gettysburg. Fights air and water pollution, overdevelopment and noise.
Since our founding in 1919, the National Parks Conservation Association has been the independent, nonpartisan voice working to strengthen and protect America's favorite places. With more than a million members and supporters beside us, we are the voice of America’s national parks, working to protect and preserve our nation’s most iconic and inspirational places for present and future generations.
We celebrate the parks — and work tirelessly to defend them — whether on the ground, in the courtroom or on Capitol Hill. From our national headquarters in Washington, D.C., and 25 regional and field offices around the country, we call on our program and policy experts, committed volunteers, staff lobbyists, community organizers and communications specialists to inform and inspire the public and to influence decision makers to ensure that our national parks are well protected.

Your donation will help ensure we have dependable resources so we can respond at a moment’s notice whenever our national parks are threatened. With your gift, you will help protect the awesome wonder of America’s national parks for generations to come.
NPCA is the only nonprofit specifically focused on advocating for and defending our national parks at the local, state, regional, and national level.
Throughout its history, NPCA has worked tirelessly on behalf of our national parks, and has many victories to show for it. They include successfully advocating the expansion and diversification of the park system, pushing for stronger clean water and air protections for parks, working to block development that would harm nearby parks, protecting iconic park wildlife, and supporting more investment in park infrastructure and staff.
The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) is committed to using every dollar you donate efficiently and effectively. Our careful stewardship of your financial support is why we receive such high ratings from charity watchdog organizations. During our last fiscal year, NPCA used 79.7% of our resources for our program and advocacy work. NPCA meets all of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Wise Giving Alliance Standards for Charity Accountability and has also earned a high rating from Charity Navigator. NPCA once again received top-rated status from GreatNonprofits in 2016 for the fifth year in a row, and was one of only five top-rated environmental nonprofits in Washington, D.C., in 2012.
