By working with local volunteers, we can have a big impact with small amounts of
money, providing essentials to war orphans, victims of natural disasters and helping
poor children go to school.
How do you help people in my community?
We have an office in the DC area. On request, we are making educational presentations
on our charity work to schools. MMP-MC goals for that are to:
• create awareness among children in your communities of what is happening
to youths in other parts of the world; we did this once in Bethesda (MD) in cooperation
with the Foundation of Moral Courage based in DC and run by a retired State Department
official who is also a producer of quality videos on war and peace targeting high
school audiences to create a debate on moral values, courage, honor, social justice
and ethics.
• give children and teenagers an opportunity to make a difference by helping
other kids in need in the context of a specific project;
• instill some basic values of caring, compassion, openmindness, responsible
freedom and acceptance of diversity to young generations so our communities and
the world could be a better place to live.
We are still a small charity, but we know where each dollar we receive is going.
Why do you need my support?
We need your support because we and you are right-minded people. We all want to
be a helper/server instead of a poverty-ridden person who is not certain of work,
food, shelter, health-care or anything else except the burdens of life.
It is more blessed to give than to receive! We realize that it is not only
about money and we believe in the need to preserve the integrity of financial systems.
It is also about love and happiness. IT is about talent, and the need to recognize
our own talent.
Yes your small gift will make a difference. Federal employees’ generosity and altruism
are a credit to public service in our community. The poor and suffering are always
with us and in need of our “tiny” or large gestures to "make the world better".
Good people do good things because of the Good in their hearts. A gift shows your
appreciation for other people in need. It conveys you value them highly. Every dollar
has meaning for those in need, and we ensure that every dollar is used for its intended
purpose for the benefit of those you help with us. Your generous gift makes you
also a super Hero or Heroine!
Our vision is to always keep hope in our heart. We trust our benefactors and they
must deserve their trust. We don’t pretend we are much different to many other causes
out there when these causes are anchored in the universal values of solidarity,
peace, justice, human dignity, and love for those in need. This, plus investing
in education and praying with the heart, is what will make a difference in the future.
Caring and sharing is important.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't
waste it?
MMP-MC is an independent, mission-and faith-based organization, and is known for
its high standards of financial discipline. It relies on qualified and dedicated
volunteer Board members including a retired World Bank official specialized in financial
management and project development and implementation; an attorney at law; and a
doctor who is a trauma psychologist.
The management of the Charity is focused on using funding very carefully and effectively
making sure we obtain effective, practical and measurable results. Our ratio of
admin expenses to core programs is low, 5% to 8% at the most, which is considered
excellent compared to bigger organizations spending up to 20% or more of their resources
to cover their overhead cost.
With MMP-MC, donors can decide where their money will go by choosing a project they
want to support or even a specific child they want to help if it is for the God-parenthood
program. An independent private CPA/auditor of the NCA reviews each year the Charity’s
accounts by preparing and filing MMP-MC Federal tax return form. Donors are partners,
and MMP-MC will oversee the partnership with them. Donors and benefactors can contact
the Charity at any time to know how their gifts were used.
Thank you for your support and kindness. We are grateful to you and we will pray
for you and your families.
Can I Volunteer? How?
To be a volunteer is the experience of a lifetime. We need the time and talents
of volunteers for all our programs, especially now we need a veteran volunteer to
help us boost the "Little Flower" project. Contact Bernie at mmpcharity@gmail.com and write "volunteering
for MMP-MC" in the subject line.
We also need more influential and caring VIP and celebrities to join and share their
experience and talents with us at MMP-MC by joining the Charity's Advisory Board.
Thank you.
