Cradle of Hope Adoption Center, Inc.

Help an abandoned child! We provide adoption services and support to children who are waiting for permanent, loving families. You can make a difference in a child’s future! 301-587-4400

How do you help people in my community?

Cradle of Hope has helped families all across the U.S. who want to open their hearts and their homes to a child in need.  Chances are there is a Cradle of Hope child in your community, who got a new start in life because someone cared.  You may have a friend or relative who is longing for a child to love – we can help their family grow through adoption.  We have created a wide network of local adoption agencies that help us assist families who want to adopt.

Why do you need my support?

Your generous support can make all the difference in the life of an abandoned child.  Your funds can provide vitamins so that a child gets a healthy start in life, or a pair of shoes that help him run and jump.  With your gift, we can recruit adoptive families for children with special needs or provide financial assistance to a family who wants to adopt. We can make sure children without parents have enough to eat so they can go to school or provide sports equipment so they can play soccer and basketball. Most importantly, your gift can help us to give a child a secure and happy future in a loving family.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

We are extremely grateful for your financial support and make sure that every dollar is put to good use.   Only 18% of our revenue is needed for administrative and fundraising purposes, with all other funds dedicated to our programs. The members of our Board of Directors are former clients and adoptive parents, who keep a close eye on how our donations are spent. In addition, our annual audit ensures that all funds are spent appropriately to further our mission of helping children find families.

Can I Volunteer? How?

Absolutely.  You can help us with fundraising, education, and recruitment of adoptive homes. You can organize a collection drive for developmental toys, shoes, and clothing for children in orphanages. You can help with research on the internet, clerical work in our Maryland office, newsletter production and special projects.
