Uganda Christian University Partners

Our mission is to raise awareness and support in the USA for the University through scholarship programs; education and project support; and prayer. We are engaged in transforming young lives in Africa.

Why do we exist?

Uganda Christian University Partners is the US base of support for the fastest growing private university in East Africa.  We provide scholarships to hundreds of students who otherwise could not afford an education.  Education is a major way to help cultures overcome poverty by providing the knowledge to achieve and help their own country out of the cycle of poverty.  UCU has students from all over Africa and our organization helps many to fulfill their dreams.  In addition to scholarships, we help with new buildings, fund special programs and projects, and take teams to visit every year.

What have you accomplished?

We have helped thousands of young people meet their dreams of achievement in areas such as teaching, social work, health sciences, and Law.  Ivan came from one of the poorest regions of Uganda with no hope of ever achieving anything since he was an orphan.  His church helped him to go to the local school, he studied hard and was selected as one of the recipients of a scholarship program at Uganda Christian University.  He graduated with honors in Business  Adminstration and returned home to his village and started an orphanage withe the vision to "build our nation through education".  The orphanage now has over 500 children who have hope for their own futures because of Ivan.
