100% of every dollar donated to SladeChild Foundation provides desperately needy children worldwide with food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care. All administrative expenses paid by Board of Trustees.
How do you help people in my community?
We do reach out to needy children right here at home. We have helped homeless children in Washington, D.C., Seattle, Washington, and on U.S. Indian reservations. And for the larger community of children around the world, we help children who are orphaned, abused, handicapped, castaways. Some live in great poverty, some live in the midst of war or are refugees from war. All are deserving of a fair opportunity. We help provide that opportunity for them to help themselves.
Why do you need my support?
We need your support because there is a never-ending need of the children for the essentials of life. Your gift will make a direct difference, not matter how big or small. One hundred percent (100%) of your gift will go directly towards the benefit of the children. We believe that no other children's relief charity can state that.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
Since the SladeChild Foundation was founded 20 years ago, our policy has been to forward 100% of all donations directly to the benefit of the children. All of our administrative expenses are paid for by the five Trustees, plus with the interest generated on the Trust accounts. In this manner, not one penny of your donation will be deducted to pay administrative or fund-raising expenses. All of the Trustees are volunteers. None of us earn any money whatsoever from our participation as a Trustee. In this way 100% of your donation can go towards providing food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care for some of the most destitute and needy children in the world, including in the United States.
Can I Volunteer? How?
We do have a volunteer assistance program for office workers, to help us administer and run the Foundation. Many of the children relief projects that we support in other countries have volunteer programs, and we can assist you by putting you in touch with them.
