Sky Cross provides nonperishable food and some medical supplies to 30,000 very poor people in 43 locations along the Texas-Mexico border (41 in Mexico) to enable the children to attend school.
Why do we exist?
Sky Cross is a ministry to the very poor people on the Texas-Mexico border, mostly inside Mexico (41 of the 43 locations), that provides non perishable food and some medical supplies to established missionaries for distribution to these poor. This results in a dual blessing which allows them to receive basic needs, and the missionaries to use their resources for the education of their children. Meeting the basic needs of these poor, combined with the education of their children, breaks the chain of generation after generation living in horrible poverty, having to beg for food when work isn’t available, which is most of the time.
What have you accomplished?
Over the past 14 years, Sky Cross has routinely provided tons of non perishable food monthly (beans, rice, pasta, and corn meal flour primarily), and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of medical supplies annually (nutrition bars, drinks and shakes; adult and children diapers; vitamins; OTH pain medications; and many basic first aid items) to thousands of very poor families, migrants and hundreds of orphans, including orphans with special needs.
