Save the Children Federation, Inc.

Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating lasting change for children in need in the United States and around the world. How do you help people in my community?

Save the Children provides programming to the poorest & most desperate children in over 40 countries and the United States.  For a list of our program locations, please visit our website at www.savethechildren.org

Why do you need my support?

Every gift makes an impact, especially when pooled with other workplace campaign gifts, as well as with contributions from corporations, foundations and government agencies that support our work.  Save the Children’s vision is to make lasting, positive change in the lives of children in need.  If you contribute to Save the Children, we will use your gift to target the most pressing needs of the children we serve.  Helping children who need us the most is our focus - we do not veer from that mission, it guides our choices and our actions.

Save the Children stands apart from other child focused organizations in that we are independent, which enables us to be flexible, responsive.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

Save the Children has been awarded 4 stars for the third year in a row from Charity Navigator, a third party watchdog group.  Our perfect score is based on financial accountability, low administrative overhead and most importantly, on the effectiveness of our programs.

Save the Children has received a great deal of funding from the US Government and many corporations for decades.  These entities take their philanthropic investments as seriously as you do and have entrusted Save the Children to use their contributions to help children as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Can I Volunteer? How?

Due to the remote locations of our programs, volunteering is inadvisable.
