Quality Trust assists people with developmental disabilities to be safe, healthy and valued. Our vision is a community where everyone is respected and contributes--regardless of their abilities or differences.
How do you help people in my community?
Quality Trust serve all wards in the District of Columbia and touch the lives of thousands of men, women, children and families with a member with developmental disabilities.
Why do you need my support?
Without your support adults won’t have advocacy services and advocates in their lives – someone to help them get jobs; into the home of their choice; children into services, good schools and camps that improve their skills. Quality Trust is a non-profit organization that depends on contributions to change lives, services and attitudes in the District of Columbia so people can thrive and enjoy full lives and opportunities.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
Quality Trust uses an independent accounting firm for financial reconciliation and yearly audits. Our business operations are transparent and our tax form 990 is publicly filed on a yearly basis. The Board of Directors review our mission focused activity, our monthly statements and the audit reviews. Board policy follows all accounting approved procedures on a daily basis.
Can I Volunteer? How?
Quality Trust currently welcomes volunteers in the following ways:
- Board of Directors and board committees
- Respite Care for families with a member with developmental disabilities
- Family EMPOWERment Center trainings and family gatherings.
