How do you help people in my community?
Operation Blessing provides strategic disaster relief, medical aid, hunger relief, clean water and orphan care in 23 countries around the world on a daily basis.
Here in the U.S., the Hunger Strike Force is Operation Blessing’s largest domestic program, with a fleet of tractor-trailer trucks delivering an average 2 million pounds of food and relief product every week to a network of partners that serve roughly 5,000 local food pantries and hunger relief agencies nationwide.
In addition to food distributions, this past year OBI’s domestic disaster relief team responded to flooding in Tennessee and the Gulf Coast oil spill, with volunteers providing more than 3,000 hours of service for affected families, including debris and cleanup assistance.
Why do you need my support?
Right now, with so many facing hunger, poverty and sickness, the relief you can provide means more than ever. Your gift can make a significant impact in the lives of those in need!
$1 per pay period can provide anti-parasite medication and hygiene education to 520 children living in places such as Mexico, Peru, India and China. ($26)
$5 per pay period can help support our clean water projects worldwide that are providing safe, clean water for families in need. ($130)
$8 a pay period can help families struggling with hunger and poverty through projects such as microenterprise businesses, family farms and more. ($208)
$10 a pay period can provide enough groceries to feed 5 hungry American families for a month. ($260)
$15 a pay period can provide 6 wheelchairs to disabled men, women and children in places like Haiti, Cambodia and India. ($390)
$20 a pay period can provide a cleft lip and palate surgery that will transform the smile of a child in need. ($520)
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
At Operation Blessing, we take stewardship seriously. More than 99% of our spending goes toward our relief programs. That’s what makes us different from most charities.
For more than 30 years our mission has been to leverage every dollar of donor support to bless as many as possible, so you can give with confidence—to support a mission you believe in, with a charity you can trust.
Recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of “America’s most efficient charities,” and ranked by the Chronicle of Philanthropy as the 6th largest international charity, OBI has also been awarded the top four-star rating by Charity Navigator, America’s leading charity evaluator, for the seventh year in a row – a feat only 2 percent of rated charities have achieved.
OBI is registered with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), an association of more than 790 evangelical, nonprofit organizations requiring the highest standards of financial accountability and disclosure to donors, government, and other interested people. Our financial statements are prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and obtain an annual audit by independent auditors, KPMG LLP.
