Operation Blessing International

One of the largest charities in America, providing strategic disaster relief, medical aid, hunger relief, clean water and orphan care daily in the U.S. and 22 countries worldwide.

How do you help people in my community?

NATIONAL

Hunger Relief: With strategically-placed warehouses in Virginia, Florida and California and a fleet of 18 tractor trailer trucks and 75 trailers, the Hunger Strike Force is OBI’s largest domestic program. Each week the fleet delivers an average of 2 million pounds of food and relief product to a vast network of community-based relief groups across America  in states such as Arizona, California, Florida, New York, Maryland, Michigan, Texas, North Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin. On average, Operation Blessing supplements more than 75 million meals each year. For every $1 received, OBI can provide $12 worth of food and goods for those in need.
Disaster Relief:
• Hurricane Ike
• Tornadoes
INTERNATIONAL
Operation Blessing has active programs in more than 22 countries.  Every day teams in countries including Indonesia, India, China, Peru, the Philippines, Sudan and Ukraine are feeding the hungry, digging wells, building cisterns, teaching life skills and treating the sick.

Medical Services
From anti-parasite programs in Peru and Guatemala to sponsoring thousands of free cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries for impoverished children to conducting medical missions in poverty-stricken regions of India, Indonesia and Africa, OBI offers free medical, dental, optical and surgical services for those who cannot access or afford such health care.

The MedEx program also helps sustain communities by providing them with basic medicines, antibiotics and supplies.

Microenterprise & Life Skills
Through garden projects, baking and cosmetology courses, fish farms and sewing centers, OBI is working to improve the economies of impoverished communities in regions such as Africa, India, Asia and Latin America. Locals are taught marketable skills and equipped with the necessary training and resources to obtain better employment.

Orphans Care
Orphans Care is committed to promoting the well-being of orphans and vulnerable children around the world by providing: orphan and adoption advocacy; academic opportunity; life training skills; mentoring; career placement; and health programs.

Water Wells and Cisterns
OBI is supplying clean drinking water to thousands through construction of more than 2,000 wells and cisterns each year in areas such as India, the Philippines, China and throughout Africa.

Why do you need my support?

Your gift matters - whether it's distributing food to hungry American families across the United States; digging wells and building cisterns for those without access to clean drinking water in countries such as China, Ghana and India; or providing life-saving medical care to children in Honduras and Indonesia who would otherwise go untreated – your gift is making a significant impact in the lives of those in need.

Your gift makes a difference:

$1 per week can supply anti-parasite medication and hygiene education to 20 children living in countries like Guatemala, the Philippines and Thailand.

$10 can provide 1 insecticide-treated bed net for a family, helping to prevent the spread of malaria.

$25 can feed a hungry family in America for a month and supports OBI’s food distribution across the United States.

$50 can help support the rehabilitation of a young victim of child trafficking through safe houses, education and awareness programs, counseling and more.

$130 can provide the gift of mobility via a wheelchair to two disabled people in countries like Laos, Peru and Ukraine.

$100 can purchase and transport two solar ovens for families living in the remote regions of China’s Gansu Province.

$1,800 can provide a village with access to safe, clean drinking water through its own water well and help prevent the spread of waterborne diseases.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

Operation Blessing promises to effectively use your donation to help break the cycle of suffering. More than 99% of Operation Blessing’s expenses go toward children and families in need.

America’s premier charity evaluator Charity Navigator awarded its highest rating of 4-stars for five consecutive years to Operation Blessing, and we are ranked as the 7th largest international charity by The Chronicle of Philanthropy.

OBI is registered with the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), an association of more than 790 evangelical, nonprofit organizations requiring the highest standards of financial accountability and disclosure to donors, government, and other interested people.
