Why do we exist?

NARAL Pro-Choice America Foundation was founded to support and protect, as a fundamental right and value, a woman’s freedom to make personal decisions regarding the full range of reproductive choices through education, training, organizing, legal action and public policy.

What have you accomplished?

Our annual Who Decides? publication—the premiere source for information about the status of reproductive rights in every state—documents the hostile climate women face when seeking to exercise their constitutional right to choose. Our nation’s grade still sits at a dismal D-!  There is clearly much work to be done. Through our Prevention First initiative and Plan B®-Where’s Yours? campaign, we have educated and engaged thousands of supporters—as well as lawmakers on both sides of the abortion debate—to stand up for honest sex education and improved access to birth control, including emergency contraception.
