How do you help people in my community?
NAMI is involved in communities at the local level.
Why do you need my support?
Funding provided by you allows NAMI to do the work it does. With out support from donors NAMI would cease to exist. Every dollar NAMI earns makes a difference. We at NAMI count on gifts both large and small to fuel the engine that drives our work. 70% of every dollar goes to programming which includes education programs. NAMI is dedicated to the eradication of mental illness and to the improvement of the quality of life of all who are affected by these diseases. We are an organization developed by the people for the people and run by the people. Our mission is grassroots-driven which keeps us focused on why we exist.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
Our results indicate and verify our outcomes. We have earned the BBB (Better Business Bureau) Wise Giving Alliance seal of financial and business "A" standards.
Can I Volunteer? How?
Yes! Contact your local NAMI state or affiliate office or log onto www.nami.org and checking for opportunities.
