How do you help people in my community?

Military families go where they are assigned.  They are active members of communities, churches, and schools across our nation.  We have provided educational assistance to students living in or attending school in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Guam. 

Why do you need my support?

We know that as our military men and women respond to crises around the world, the need to support their families will continue to grow.  Many men and women in uniform who die as a result of their military service have young children.  It may be 10 to 15 years before they are ready for college.  We have all seen the cost of education increase at an alarming rate. Tuition can be an insurmountable challenge to many families.  Receiving an American Patriot Scholarship can make college a reality.  We must be ready and willing to help.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

Every dollar contributed by faithful Americans like you helps to pay for college expenses.  Our fundraising, management and general expenses, which are paid for by a separate organization, represent only 3.3% of the funds raised each year.  We’ve been providing educational assistance to military children since 1948.  Each year, our records are reviewed by an independent auditor and we have consistently received accolades for our management of donations and program expenses.  Our record of integrity, transparency, and accomplishment is unblemished. 

Can I Volunteer? How?

Yes. We have opportunities for volunteers to perform routine clerical work at our headquarters in Alexandria, VA.
