How do you help people in my community?

The Lymphoma Research Foundation’s (LRF) programs and services are available to people in all communities around the United States.  Anyone can call our toll-free helpline at 800-500-9976 to speak with a trained staff member who will answer questions and provide information and individual support to patients and their loved ones.  Additionally, LRF has 18 active chapters in 14 states that provide programs and services to their local communities.

Why do you need my support?

Over 500,000 Americans are living with lymphoma today, and approximately 74,000 are expected to be diagnosed each year.  While we have funded over $47.5 million of research, many types of lymphoma remain incurable and nearly 22,000 Americans will die from the disease this year alone.  Additionally, many patients depend on us to provide them with up-to-date information and support to help them deal with their illness.  It is only with the help of generous donors like you that we can continue to fund life-saving research and provide much need support to lymphoma patients and their families.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

Over 81% of the money raised by the Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) goes directly to our research, patient education and support programs.  LRF is able to keep its overhead costs down due to our large and growing number of loyal volunteers.  In fact, most of LRF’s local chapters are run entirely by volunteers.  LRF is proud to be a Better Business Bureau “Accredited Charity” and to have received the “Best in America” Seal of Approval from Independent Charities of America.
