Dedicated to serving the entire needs of the family, La Clinica provides medical, dental, eye, mental health and health education services to low-income communities in Oakland, Pittsburg, Concord and Vallejo.

How do you help people in my community?

Our patients largely come from the Fruitvale, San Antonio, and East Oakland districts of the City of Oakland. Our Pleasant Hill patients come from the densely populated Monument Corridor area and our Pittsburg medical and dental clinics draw patients from Pittsburg, Antioch, and Brentwood in East Contra County where there is little access to high quality, affordable care.

Why do you need my support?

Every contribution counts. Our funding largely comes from government contracts that are restricted to specific services and activities. Private donations help us purchase equipment, buy educational materials and supplies, and childcare for health education classes. Our ultimate vision is that one day everyone will have equal access to quality health care. We are unique because we specialize in serving non-English speaking populations. Our services are provided by bilingual and often bicultural staff who can communicate with patients in their native languages and understand their cultures. This is critical to providing quality health care.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

La Clinica is audited every year and follows generally accepted accounting principles. Many of our larger funders also conduct independent program and fiscal audits.
