Every child needs a family. Kidsave is a volunteer-driven organization that is working to move older children out of orphanages and foster care and into permanent, loving families.
How do you help people in my community?
Why do you need my support?
Without the generous contributions of members of the community, the Weekend Miracles program would not be possible. The program receives limited government support; most funding comes from individual, corporate and foundation support. Your contribution could help fund the matching event at which an adult meets a child and decides to adopt.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
Can I Volunteer? How?
This program would not exist without the involvement of volunteers – host parents, mentors, advocates and others.
Mentors are a child’s friend and teacher. Mentors commit to weekly contact with the child and outings at least every two weeks. They are an important component of the Weekend Miracles program.
Advocates increase the circle of people who will consider adopting a specific child or learning more about older children waiting to be adopted. They inform friends and colleagues, communicate with local media, and make presentations at work or worship services.
We gratefully accept support from event organizers and volunteers as well as companies, places of worship or other organizations which would consider hosting a matching event or sharing information about waiting children and the Weekend Miracles program with employees or members.
