How do you help people in my community?

Implementing environmental law requires more than lawyers and government agencies. Broadly based citizen participation is essential to the U.S. system as well as to other democracies. ELI, through its training workshops and publications, helps equip citizens with the tools they need to make a critical difference in the quality of their community and local environment.

Why do you need my support?

We encourage donors to keep in touch with what we are doing on the ELI web site. Our Annual Report (posted on the web site) makes complete information available on how ELI funds are spent on our programs.  In 2008 our overhead percentage was 13.74% and we recently received a four-star rating from CharityNavigator.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
