Touching the lives of the poor in over 75 developing countries by designing facilities to provide clean water, sanitation, basic housing, schooling and medical care. "Designing a world of hope."
Why do we exist?
-
We exist to provide hope to the spiritually and physically poor.
-
We mobilize volunteer engineers and architects to donate their skills to design facilities that help the disadvantaged overseas.
-
We meet practical needs of the poor in over 75 developing countries by helping provide clean water, sanitation, housing, hospitals, schools and orphanages.
What have you accomplished?
- Since 1982, we’ve completed over 500 projects in 75 countries. We’ve donated hundreds of thousands of hours of design services in the last 23 years of operations. Last year alone, we donated over $3 million to the poor on 55 projects.
- We help ministry leaders with their development projects by providing critical design and planning services on the front end of their project. An example is Rebecca Wasswa, a nurse from Kampala, Uganda, and director of the St. Lukes Society. Her organization operates an AIDS awareness and health clinic on the outskirts of Kampala. When eMi learned of her operating her clinic out of a metal shipping container, we sent a team of engineers to design a new facility. After we completed the project, she was able to build a brand new clinic to help more people.
