Providing food, water, clothing, housing, medicine -- basic needs for those who need help most. Working with grassroots organizations. Sharing our blessings with disadvantaged families, here and around the world.
How do you help people in my community?
It is our belief that our community is the global community and we try to help as many people as we can, regardless of location. We work locally, domestically, and internationally.
Why do you need my support?
Your support is crucial. Our programs cannot operate in their current states without support from generous donors. Support is also important in helping us expand programs to be able to provide more resources for those who need it most.
Supporting our organization is unique in that you are not simply making a donation when you give to us; you are making an investment. Our goal is to empower local volunteers along with their communities and enable people to help themselves. So when you give to us, you are promoting self-sufficiency. You are not just giving a hand-out.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
We are a highly efficient charity and we have repeatedly been recognized as such. Some examples:
-
We have received the "Best in America" seal of approval from Independent Charities of America. This indicates that, upon rigorous independent review, we have been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that we meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness. These standards include those required by the US Government for inclusion in the Combined Federal Campaign, probably the most exclusive fund drive in the world.
-
We have received the Better Business Bureau national charity seal.
-
We are voluntarily audited annually and successfully by the Reznick Group.
We have very low overhead costs; only 1% of our revenue goes to management expenses and 76% goes directly to program services. For more information, we would be happy to send you a copy of our annual report upon request.
Can I Volunteer? How?
Are you a federal, military or state government worker? We would like volunteers to help with our CFC efforts by passing out our brochures to their federal workplace colleagues, and/or attend their workplace's CFC fair on our behalf. We do not have a lot of money for expensive advertising, so please email us at info@christianrelief.org to request material to hand out in your workplace or at your workplace CFC fair to help us get the word out about the many needs in our global community and our efforts to meet them!
