CFCA utilizes 100 percent of CFC contributions for scholarships in developing countries. Through education, students create pathways out of poverty and give hope to their families.
How do you help people in my community?
CFCA helps educate people in the U.S. about the needs of people living in poverty around the world. In addition to the satisfaction of helping a child or elderly person in need, sponsors get to know their sponsored friends through letters and photographs. Some sponsors travel on CFCA-hosted mission awareness trips to meet their sponsored friends.
Why do you need my support?
Through the support of our sponsors and donors, CFCA provides basic life necessities and, in some instances, livelihood programs to help families become self-sustaining. Sponsorship benefits help ensure that children can remain in school and that elderly people can live the remainder of their lives with dignity.
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?
CFCA is committed to the highest standards of accountability and financial integrity. Each year, the independent accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche LLP conducts a complete audit, including periodic visits to overseas programs. Additionally, independent charity evaluators, including the American Institute of Philanthropy and Charity Navigator, consistently give CFCA high rankings for meeting or exceeding industry standards. CFCA also meets the BBB Wise Giving Alliance’s rigorous standards for charity accountability. CFCA is committed to using your dollars wisely. More than 94 percent of expenses go toward program support.
