Children International

Children International is a humanitarian organization providing life-changing assistance through sponsorship and self-help programs to more than 320,000 poverty-stricken children and their families in 11 countries, including the U.S.

Why do we exist?

Our mission is to improve the lives of desperately poor children by providing tangible  benefits and services that meet their basic needs, enhance their self-esteem and raise their physical and educational levels in a meaningful and lasting way. Through the generous donations of contributors, this vision is becoming reality. Thousands of poverty-stricken children around the world are growing up healthier, happier and living life with more hope, thanks to the ongoing support of Children International contributors.

What have you accomplished?

Through monthly sponsorship gifts and other contributions, Children International provides needy children with many of life’s most important essentials. These include:

  • Regular medical exams, nutritional screenings and, if needed, follow-up care and medicine.
  • Dental screenings and follow-up care as needed.
  • Educational assistance such as school supplies, uniforms and assistance with tuition and school fees.
  • New clothing and shoes.

Children International also helps families and entire communities with programs such as:

  • The distribution of anti-parasite treatments to sponsored children, their families and communities. We also provide education on proper hygiene and sanitation practices to help reduce the threat and occurrence of parasitic infections.
  • Providing sponsored families with important items they can’t afford to buy, including cooking utensils, cleaning supplies, sheets and blankets, water storage containers, home-repair materials and emergency assistance.
  • Improving access to good-quality housing and clean, safe drinking water.

How do you help people in my community? Why do you need my support?
How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it? Can I Volunteer? How?
