Why do we exist?
We exist to change the lives of people in our community by providing essential services and compassionate care to the marginalized and most vulnerable among us. Our mission is to serve and advocate for the poor, the sick, the distressed, children, families, immigrants and seniors, regardless of their faith.
What have you accomplished?
Now entering our second century of service to the Bay Area, Catholic Charities CYO provides critical services to more than 40,000 individuals in need per year. The organization was founded in 1907 to care for the orphans of San Francisco’s 1906 Earthquake and now supports 31 programs in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties including homelessness prevention/family housing, senior services, childcare, HIV/AIDS services, counseling services, support for refugees and immigrants, youth athletics and camp.
