Birthright volunteers offer confidential, personal and loving help to any pregnant woman or one suspecting pregnancy. Services include free pregnancy tests, maternity clothing, layettes, friendship and referrals for community resources.

How do you help people in my community?

Birthright offers material and emotional support and appropriate referrals. This help is sometimes vital to an entire family, who are often impoverished, and quietly desperate. They are very grateful.

Why do you need my support?

Your small gifts help purchase pregnancy tests (25 tests for $31.00), educational brochures, and jointly could pay for an ad in a high school yearbook, and provide for new layettes. We hope to relocate to a more visible, accessable location in the future.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

Throughout our history we have proven that we care and want to improve lives. All donations are carefully used to pay rent and purchase necessary items for moms and babies first. If possible, we advertise.

Volunteers are welcome. Please call (925) 798-7227 and the Director will contact you and send an application with areas of interest: counseling, newsletter, clothes coordinator, speakers bureau.
