Brain tumors strike children and adults in the prime of life. You can help us change the future from grim to promising by supporting national research, education and patient support. 800-934-CURE(2873).

How do you help people in my community?

Any brain tumor patient, family member or friend can access NBTF by calling our toll free 1.800.934.CURE number or contacting NBTF through our Web Site at www.braintumor.org. By contacting NBTF you can receive free information about brain tumor treatment centers in your community, support groups in your community or assistance starting up a support group, contact with other patients and their families, financial grants to attend the NBTF National Conference and other sources of information and support.

Why do you need my support?

The majority of NBTF's research and patient programs are funded by generous donations from individuals. We do not take any federal funding and look to the kindness of our supporters to help make our programs possible. Because brain tumors are such a frightening and overwhelming disease and because there is so little awareness about where to access information, your continued support is especially important to the people NBTF serves each year and to increase our programs to reach even additional patients.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

NBTF has been around since l981 and has granted over $1.2 million to research funding and provided patients services to more 20,000 households. We are audited every year and each year received a high fiscal rating from the auditors.

Can I Volunteer? How?

NBTF relies on volunteers for a variety of jobs - working in the office to put together patient packets, assisting at our national conference, talking with other brain tumor patients and their families through our support line, helping to raise funds, and distributing NBTF patient information in your community. These are just a few of the ways in which volunteers support the work of NBTF. For more information, contact the NBTF office at 1.800.934.CURE (2873).
