Alpha Project for the Homeless

Provides opportunities and support to 2,000 men, women and children daily throughout Southern California. Programs offer affordable housing, psychiatric and recovery treatment, emergency services, case management and follow-up care and hospice for the homeless.

How do you help people in my community?

We provide opportunities to the homeless community while providing community enhancement.

Why do you need my support?

Gifts allow us to provide training, outreach efforts, employment assistance, showers, laundry, and other services to San Diego's homeless community. Furthermore, 97% of our staff are former clients who have successfully broken the cycle of homelessness, criminality, and addiction. We are different than other homeless agencies in that we provide opportunities rather than handouts.

How can I be sure that you will use my money wisely and won't waste it?

Alpha Project boasts a very low administrative overhead and undergoes a formal audit on an annual basis. Furthermore, we work closely with other non-profit organizations to prevent duplication of services.
